Ladies Circle are creating their first Back2Back Show Garden at this year's RHS Tatton Flower Show to highlight the good work their members do in raising money for local charities each year.
Ladies Circle got together with professional garden designer, Louise Harrison-Holland, Treasurer of Wilmslow Ladies Circle, to design a garden inspired by Janey Lee Grace, National Patron of Ladies Circle and co-host of BBC Radio 2's Steve Wright in the Afternoon show.
Janey is well known for her passionate philosophy of living a holistic and green lifestyle, with sustainability firmly in mind and has written several books including 'Imperfectly Natural Woman'. Her philosophy has been extended to the show garden: materials are from sustainable sources, space is given to composting and plants provide a source for home made culinary, cosmetic or curative products as well as providing nectar for butterflies and bees. And the name of the garden? The 'Natural Woman' garden, of course!
The garden could not go ahead without the generous sponsorship of Moorcroft plc, the world's leading art pottery based in Stoke-on-Trent, and collected by people around the world. They have designed a unique circular tile that will form the centrepiece of the garden decorated with plants used in the garden itself. Moorcroft enthusiast Eric Knowles, of antiques road show fame, will be on hand to discuss the exclusive Moorcroft designs launched especially for the flower show.
Come and meet us and see our garden at RHS Tatton Flower Show, near Knutsford, between 23rd and 27th July 2008!
